Brief Description: Haunted by memories from his first days as a vampire, Balthazar has spent hundreds of years alone—without allies, without love. When he emerges from his isolation to help Skye Tierney, a human girl who once attended Evernight Academy, Balthazar has no idea how dangerous it will be. Skye’s psychic powers have caught the attention of Redgrave, the cruel master vampire responsible for murdering Balthazar and his family four centuries ago. Having learned of Skye’s powers and the remarkable effect her blood has on vampires, he plans to use her for his own evil purposes. As they stand together to fight the evil vampire, Balthazar realizes his lonely world could finally be changed by Skye…just as Redgrave realizes that he can destroy Balthazar once and for all by taking her for his own. In a story filled with forbidden love and dark suspense, one of the most beloved characters in Claudia Gray’s New York Times bestselling Evernight series will captivate readers with his battle to overcome his past and follow his heart.
This is a book that I have a a little while, but haven’t had time to read yet.
Bewitching by Alex Flinn
I go to a new school now—one where no one knows that I should have graduated long ago. I’m not still here because I’m stupid; I just don’t age.
You see, I’m immortal. And I pretty much know everything after hundreds of years—except for when to take my powers and butt out.
I want to help, but things just go awry in ways I could never predict. Like when I tried to free some children from a gingerbread house and ended up being hanged. After I came back from the dead (immortal, remember?), I tried to play matchmaker for a French prince and ended up banished from France forever. And that little mermaid I found in the Titanic lifeboat? I don’t even want to think about it.
Now a girl named Emma needs me. I probably shouldn’t get involved, but her gorgeous stepsister is conniving to the core. I think I have just the thing to fix that girl—and it isn’t an enchanted pumpkin. Although you never know what will happen when I start . . . bewitching.
This sound really great. Hopefully I can get to it soon.
I am looking forward to starting The Immortal Rule (Blood Of Eden #1) by Julie Kagawa

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a vampire city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten. Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them. The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself is attacked—and given the ultimate choice. Die or become one of the monsters. Faced with her own mortality, Allie becomes what she despises most. To survive, she must learn the rules of being immortal, including the most important: go long enough without human blood, and you will go mad. Then Allie is forced to flee into the unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike. But it isn’t easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth dying for.
I can not wait to read this. It should be here today…Happy Wednesday!!!!
This book is about a love that transcends time. It centers around Lanny and her account of her life and love. Lanny meets Luke, a doctor who works the midnight shift at the hospital. Luke is entranced by Lanny almost instantly even though she is a suspect in the murder of her lover Jonathon . Lanny leads Luke the history of her love with Jonathon. He’s kind of what we would call a bad boy now. (He enjoys the ladies) Her and Jonathon have know each other since they were small children, but their love affair is one sided. Which of course leads to heart ache. She soon meets Adair and he gives her a great gift, but it is at a great cost. She endures treacherous things at Adairs hands, both physical and sexual. But somehow she is still what seems to be attracted to him. Luke is drawn so deeply into Lannys story he gives up a lot to travel and help her escape. While Lanny and Jonathon end up together much later in time, her love for him isn’t enough to save him from his heart ache. While I enjoyed the first part of this, the second half seemed really rushed. There are still so many secret to be uncovered about Adairs immortality which I thought was a pretty good twist to the story and what happens with Luke and Lanny. So with questions left unanswered, I will certainly have to read the The Reckoning to see where the story goes from here. This is a dark fantasy, with romance, heart break with a twist of magic. All in all it was a pretty go book.
This is the sequel to Unearthly of which I absolutely loved. Clara went through so much to get ready for what she thought was her purpose. The fire where she chose to save Tucker. She believes that she has failed to fulfill her purpose and is trying to move on. In this book, Clara struggles with her feelings for Tucker and what she believes to be possibly her destiny with Christian. He is a Dimidius just like her. Sanjeeza who she met during the fire is back and still completely obsessed with her mother. While he still hasn’t recovered from the injuries that doesn’t stop him. She learns the truth about the fire and how it started, and suffers a terrible loss of someone she loves. Her father comes to help her through the loss and helps her figure out who she really is. She also learns that fire is just the beginning of what is going to be a long battle. Clara has the strength of someone many years older. She is a strong and very determined young girl, while dealing with normal teenage things. First loves, hardships of friendship and family. This a gorgeous sequel to Unearthly. It’s captivating, beautifully written, and heart wrenching. You will need tissue. Lots. This is and absolute must read.
This is a fast paced, enchanting and supernatural read. Sera and Luke are 17 year old twins. But not just any twins, they have an amazing secret. Luke has visions of the future and Sera can heal people. Luke has a vision of Sera’s death and desperately tried to find a way to stop it. Sera and Luke keep their secret from everyone, but it costs them a lot. They don’t have very many close friends, except Fey and Quinn. Soon Sera is drawn to a new stranger that has popped up. Mark. He isn’t exactly who she thinks he is, but all the same she falls for him. The chemistry between Marc and Sera is great, but she fights not let him get very close. Along the way she meets Jonas and he tells her that he is a vampire. She of course doesn’t believe him. But something about him fascinates her. Her and Luke soon figure out that not only is Jonas a vampire but people close to them have special abilities and their is more to their powers as well. There is a secret to their existence which is a great twist in the story. They also learn that are more than vampires and their is a whole other world they never would have dreamed existing. The characters Sera and Luke, are both witty and sarcastic and constantly pick on each other. Definitely siblings. Intangible is a fast read because the story just draws you in. You can’t help but love Luke and Sera. Fey and Quinn are a great asset the the story as well, they certainly play their part. The ending leave a definite opening for more to come. I hope their is another book so the story continues. I want to see what happen with Marc and certainly Jonas. I would definitely recommend reading it.
