ARC Review: The Glimpse by Claire Merle
This book is set in the not so far off future, where people are tested to see if they are predisposed to have mental health issues and separated based on the outcome. Ariana (Ana) has lived a pretty good life in the Community with her father, until she is told that her test was tampered with and she carries the gene for mental health issues and is not Pure. She is set to be bound to a Pure-boy named Jasper. Because is set to be bound to him she is given a pass from being banished. When Jasper is kidnapped she leaves the comfort of the Community and ventures into the Crazies to find him. She soon learns that everything she has grown up believing may not be so. She meets Lila and Cole and discovers some information that could possibly tear everything apart. While with Cole she learns that she love and be loved. I found this to be strangely fascinating, mysterious with a little bit of romance and,at the same time kind of disturbing. The story has lots of twist and turns, but keeps you interested. This is a great debut book. Hopefully there will be another book so that I read what happens, especially they ended.
