Review: The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell
I started this book early in the morning and finished late that evening. I couldn’t put it down. It is set in 1889, when women were married off to people in their circles. (class) Amelia come to live with her cousin and her family in Baltimore. She meets Nathaniel at a dinner held by her family and falls almost instantly. Talk about forbidden romance, he is not from her circle. Amelia has visions of the future, and when one come to pass, everything in her life in disrupted. Amelia is strong and beautiful and puts a good fight. This is a story about trials in life and making it through them. I loved the ending… I enjoyed this book all the way through and look forward to reading The Springsweet.
